The Vertex leads with a skull base, and it’s carried off well — properly sculptural rather than a novelty moulding.
What makes it more than a look is the hardware. The base screws on rather than pushing into a grommet, so the connection holds under a hard pull, and the tray twist-locks into place instead of resting loose. On a tabletop hookah that gets moved around, both of those matter.
